Quiet Contentment

Pay attention, take notes if you wish,
though the test results will remain private.

Graded not by Abrahamic desert deities
or omnipotent cloud wizards,
but in remembered interactions
by our fellow travelers.

Did we walk gently on the earth?
Embrace empathy, cradle kindness?
Were our actions guided by love,
compassion, and honesty?

Our score, echoed only in the transient minds of those we met,
and in the quiet contentment of our own,
as we pen the final page.
