Did you know that British Battle Tanks,
are kitted out for a spot of tea?
Right in the thick of it, a boiling vessel sits,
brewing water to a perfect temp.
In the heat of the ruckus,
bullets a-flying,
the crew, tucked away in their ironclad sanctuary,
can still fancy a proper brew.
Amidst a right kerfuffle the kettle whistles,
steady as she goes, undisturbed by the ballyhoo outside.
“Tea’s up, lads,” even when the world’s gone topsy-turvy.
And that, mates, is the most British thing I’ve ever heard.
