The Truth About Tigers

Backpacking the Rockies with Marcus

Beneath the canopy, the quiet hum of reason sought,
streams converge, unmoved by storms of night.
Mountains stand witness, silent, patient.
Carved by time, stone chiseled stories
tell our place within the cosmos.

Paths unfold where shadows dance with light,
impermanence revealed, moments brief as mist.
Joys and sorrows pass, like dawn’s first blush;
virtue finds its root in the always now.

In the stillness, the world begins to stir.
Fears dissolve in breath, lost to the day’s promise.
From acceptance, strength rises in each measured fall.
Every moment, an understanding; every action builds resolve.

Justice guides wandering steps, compassion quiet within.
Trials met headlong with unwavering resolve.
In the recesses of mind, peace lies in wait—
shared humanity, a kinship that binds our souls.
